An introduction to the market...

Frome Country Market is part of Country Markets, a network of over 450 small, local markets that take place all over England and Wales on different days of the week. Country Markets used to be known as WI Country Markets.
All markets within Somerset are controlled by Somerset Markets Ltd (based in Taunton), with the Head Office in Chesterfield.

The Markets are run as a non-profit making co-operative. They provide the opportunity for small producers to sell their produce direct to the public. Each Market is run locally by a Market Manager who is responsible for making sure that all producers obey the rules set out by Head Office.
All cooks are required to have an up-to-date Food Hygiene Certificate.
